How To Order

  

You can have your order total calculated for you using our booking tool by clicking on the order online button above. When ordering online, you can pay online or choose to be invoiced for payment before the deadline, which is the 20th of the month before distribution. Or send a cheque for the full amount (made payable to The Works) to 43 Hawthorne Avenue, Abbeydale, Gloucester GL4 4QB. You can submit your artwork when ordering online, or choose for us to design your advert for you for £25.

We find that advertisers who offer a discount or special offer within their advert get a better response rate. Psychologically, people are more likely to order with you over competitors if they think they are getting a better deal. By offering a discount coupon, they have something to remind them of you and you would benefit from increased business.

We are always trying to improve the community news aspect of the magazine, so if you have any news relevent to the local area, we will consider printing your news in the magazines for free.

What We Provide

The magazines are full colour compact A5 booklets with news, trivia and local information for maximum interest to readers, a useful reference for people to keep next to their phone. Our magazines are practical and useful for a local audience, printed on environmentally friendly white premium recycled thick silk paper and a high-colour finish throughout the magazines.

The magazines represent incredible value, with coverage for a whole year for less than the cost of one advert in the Citizen, Echo or Forester newspapers, plus our prices are more competitive that other 'local' magazines. The magazines are proving very successful and we know they are being read from the volume of competition entries we receive.

Our aim to to promote local businesses which are generally much more customer service orientated and offer better value for money than national businesses- so we want the local community to know about them!

We employ very reliable semi-retired local residents to do the door to door delivery of the magazines through letterboxes, who have been employed long-term. We monitor distribution very closely and have found our distributers to be very trustworthy. Leaflets are put into the magazines by ourselves before they go to the distributor so there is no risk of non-inclusion.

All editions of the magazines are live on the web site which is a major benefit to advertisers as an extra media channel offering additional features such as up-to-the-minute news, competitions, a discussion forum and classifieds. The web site also allows the local community to discuss issues and post information online.
