About Us

You may have noticed The Works Local for Gloucestershire growing over the last couple of years from a single local magazine to a successful and popular full local media service. We have now re-launched our web site which incorporates these changes, plus much more information and the ability to book and pay for advertising online.

The magazines were initially started by Stacey Thomas to provide a community service for her local area- Barnwood. The business is now run by Stacey and her husband Chris, with a small team of distributers and editors.

As the business has expanded and developed we have made improvements to the magazines, introduced new services designed to help small businesses at a very reasonable cost, and improved our efficiency to offer you fast customer service and quality products. This has all been achieved by continually reviewing our processes and business model and from listening to much appreciated customer feedback.

Thank you to our loyal customers for your support.

Please help us to improve our future performance by completing our customer satisfaction survey. We would love to have your opinions on any services you have received.

This is a local enterprise, not a national company operating in the area. Any jobs generated through growth will be local.
We are not affiliated with any councils, politicians or churches. Everybody is welcome to contribute to the magazines and we will include relevant information for free whenever possible.
