Longlevens Youth Football Teams
From: info@theworkslocal.com
All teams have made a strong start to season, with the Leopards ( B team ) and Lions ( A team ) placed 1st and 3rd respectively, in the U-13 League and the U-10 side, also on top of their league.

The Leopards have played and won their first 4 games with a goal tally of 33 for and 6 against. Although still developing as a team , they have created many chances against each of their opponents, whilst defensively they are becoming more organised and individually getting stronger with every game.

Goal grabbing Ryan Williams has scored 18 goals & 2 assists, with Zak Dowdeswell ( 5 goals & 8 assists ); Tom Berkeley ( 3 goals & 4 assists ) and Sam Webb (2 goals & 4 assists ), adding to the goals tally.Team spirit is high and the boys are getting more confident both about the team and their own personal role in the team.

Some tough matches are coming up, both in the league and the cups which will really test the Leopards, but as now expected they will treat all opponents with respect, without being intimidated by any opposing teams.

Longlevens Youth Football Teams
From: info@theworkslocal.com
During the football season the Longlevens Local magazine will provide regular updates on the progress of our local youth football teams in Longlevens.

Longlevens Youth Football Teams play in the Gloucester Youth Association Football leagues.

There are three teams : Under 13’s A : U13’s B & U10’s.

The U-10’s are looking to build on the successes achieved last season.

Both U 13 Teams have been drawn in the same league and to compound the situation, they will play each other in the second round of the League Cup. However, these challenges have given all the players an additional competitive edge as the new season approaches – the first fixtures commence in early September.

Each U-13 team has significant changes from the teams that represented the A / B Teams last season with several skilful players being added to each squad. We will report on the individual players as the season progresses

The team coaches : Clive Cooper ( A Team ) and Dennis Barnsley ( B Team ), continue preparations for the new season ; and after successes in several tournaments during the Summer, there is a growing optimism at Longlevens about the forthcoming season.

Nick Stanbury from the U-10’s insists that his team is training well and are ready for the new season.

Club secretary, Denise Thompson will continue to provide the guidance, whilst ensuring that all administrative needs are met.

Everyone is keen to get going – so watch this space for updates on your local team and if you want to support Longlevens youth soccer , why not come along and watch.
